Gary was released from Sunnyview Rehabilitation Hospital on Wednesday, January 30, 2008. Now that he is home, the family has a lot of adjusting to do. His hospital bed has been set up in the livingroom and physical and occupational therapists and visiting nurses will be coming to the house regularly. Although he looks good in these pictures, Gary's bones are still a long way from healed. When he is not laying in bed, he needs to wear a neck and back brace. Just getting from the bed to his wheelchair is a considerable challange for him, and he is still in a great deal of pain.
Many people will want to stop by and visit Gary now that he is home. However, the family is asking that you please give them some needed privacy by acknowledging the following:
If the curtains in the front window are open, Gary is up to having visitors. However, if the curtains in the front window are CLOSED, please come by another time.
Although we all want to see Gary, it is important for this family to have their private time together.
Debbie began receiving daily radiation treatments on Tuesday, February 12, 2008 and completed her treatment on Friday, March 28, 2008.
Challanges are what make life interesting;
Overcoming them is what makes life meaningful.
Optimism is the faith that leads to achievment.
Nothing can be done without hope and confidence.
What lies behind us and what lies before us are small compared to what lies within us.
